  13.    Icon of Kyiv-Murom.  This famous Icon was brought to Murom by St Constantine of Murom to help in the conversion of his people.  Originally from the Kyivan Caves Lavra, this icon shows the Mother of God gazing at Her Son who is reclining and touching His Mother’s Face with His Hand.  When he brought this icon to his people, the leaders of the pagan party opposing Christianity said that, after looking at the icon, they felt they had to be baptized, and this just so they could be always near the Icon!  On this same day is honoured the Bilinychka Icon in Mohylev where the Theotokos is portrayed in a Crown and holding a Sceptre.  The Polish Catholic church returned this Icon to its rightful Orthodox owners in 1832.  It is now in the Bilinych Church in Kyiv.
